Heart Anatomy

Materials:

• Blue and red clay

• Diagram of a heart (https://www.crayola.com/free-coloring-pages/print/human-heart-coloring-page/)

• Cut-out labels of the parts of the heart

 

Time Needed:  60 Minutes

I Do: 15 minutes

• Give a presentation about the human heart

  • What is the heart?

  • What does the heart do?

  • Why is the heart important for our body?

  • Introduce the parts of the heart

    • How does blood flow from one end to the other?

We Do: 35 minutes

Students will engage in learning the parts of the heart and how it works by constructing a clay model with labels on a paper diagram.

 

You Do: 10 minutes 

• Give them a clean paper diagram and have them label it with a pencil​
